Cell

• Unicellular organism capable of independent existence and perform all essential of life. 

• Cell is the structural and functional unit of life.

• Cell is a Latin word which means little room.

Discovery

1. Robert Hooke -

                                In 1665 Robert hooke discovered a cell. In a cork slice with the help of primitive microscope and so the cell resemble as Honeycomb.

  He published his book in in 1665 name micrographia.

             

In which he mention about the cell for the first time. 

 2.Anton van leeuwenhoek-

                                                In 1674 the first living cell was discovered by Anton van leeuwenhoek. He also known is father of Microbiology

                  

3.Robert brown -  

                               He first discovered about the nuclear in 1831.

                       

       

 4. J.E. purkinje - 

                                 He discovered the 'protoplasm'.

                       

 5. Schleidon and Schwann-

                                                    The cell theory given by Schleidon and Schwann.

1. All living organism are made up of cells.
2. All function of whole body are the product of cells.

6. R.Virchow - 

                            He completed the cell theory by adding one more point.

• All the cell arise from pre-existing(Omni cellula-e-cellulae)
